Another lost toss and in the field again when both teams wanted to bat first on what looked a very good pitch, the covers having done their work to keep the rain from Friday off the playing surface.

Maclaverty and Mission got the Eversley innings off to a steady start and it was only when Bob bowled Maclaverty and Elliott came to the crease that the scoring rate increased with some good looking leg side shots. This was looking threatening so the skipper summoned Jamil in to the attack. Elliott was stood a good yard out of his crease to Jamil and soon became victim to one of Phil's shies at the stumps, Jamil soon dismissed Mission and at that point was given a well deserved rest.

At 95-5 Eversley looked in a spot of bother but it could have been worse if the T&T fielders hadn't decided to lend a hand to the batsman as opposed to the bowlers. Five catches went down and for the third game running a dropped catch was also shovelled over the boundary for six.

Morgan-Giles and Baker then threatened to take Eversley to a challenging total. Morgan-Giles having swept the previous ball for six became Fingers' 450th wicket for the club and 73rd wicket of the season beating Bob's record from the 2000 season. Baker though continued to look threatening so the skipper summoned Jamil back in to the attack, first he dismissed Macauley and Baker soon followed at which point he was given another well deserved rest.

Rog wrapped the innings up. First there was a run out with the fielding side not sure whether this was due to the non-striker being very keen to get on strike or the guy facing not believing he hadn't scored. After a tidy over from Spike Rog bowled Saunders to leave Eversley 171 all out.

Rog and Eddie opened up the T&T reply and after some typically lusty blows Rog was caught behind dancing down the pitch to Morgan-Giles. Eddie continued on his way and it's good to see a player of his experience still developing his game, in this innings he was keen to practice the cut shot that usually he only plays very rarely.

Once he had made it to fifty tiredness took its hold and Eddie soon went caught at mid wicket miss-timing a pull. Jamil definitely seems to have a liking for this ground, after his brutal fifty last year there were more runs this year. The innings wasn't quite so destructive, although on occasions the car park seemed to be worryingly near all of a sudden, but he made it through to 72no. After a couple of late wickets it was left to Phil, not a bad number seven, to hit the winning runs.
