It was the rematch from the week before and again we were the visitors. It was again MWE who batted first.
Ryan having dominated the game last week was out bowled for 4 by Harry. However Gavin and Tom put on a good partnership, ably assisted by extras. Tom was dismissed by Jordan. From where we were it seemed a strange dismissal. James Bosarth bowled, Tom charged down the wicket and James White caught it behind the stumps whilst falling over. James White picked himself up and took the bails off but it seemed that Tom was back in his crease. At this point the facing umpire put his finger up, so by that we (the scorers) assumed that Tom was caught behind. This mean James Bosarth finished with excellent figures of 2 overs 4 runs 1 wicket and is a bowler to keep your eye on in the future. Ross was the only other bowler to pick up a wicket. Some credit must go to James White as although extras notched up 37, none were byes. This meant that MWE finished up on 91 for 3 of 16 overs.
The T&T innings got off to a great start with Harry knocking 25 off 18 balls and James holding the other end, both managing to retire. It was at this point that things got a little harder. MWE's bowling was vastly improved from last week and managed to tie our batsmen down, with only Jordan managing to pick up a boundary. Even with extras contributing 35 T & T only managed to reach 74 for 5 off the 16.
It was an entertaining game watched by a large crowd and one game each in the 2 match series was a fair result.
It was enjoyed by all and as a result we have a guaranteed fixture next year. The Youth season has now finished but we have a number of new people interested in under 11s next year, so we will look to get a few more fixtures with other teams but keep your eye out for the indoor nets in January.
