Theale & Tilehurst 2nd XI vs Crowthorne 3rd June 2006

As it's been a week ago this game is getting a little hazy. However the pitch will stay in my memory for a long time. The pitch was even worse than the last time I played them see here.

When you stood stationary in the outfield too long you got wet ankles, if you then went out to bat, the ball would not get above the wet patch. Still apparently the Berkshire League Forum has discussed this all so I shall just end saying whilst Crowthorne did a good job, the game was effectively won on the toss.
