Well our season has been like living with two women with alternating PMT.  Every other week is a nightmare!

Fortunately this week was the good week.  Rog arriving late meant Eddie and Micky would open.  They got off to a slow but steady start with maidens off the first three overs.  Then Micky hit lovely drive for 4, signalling his intent for the remainder of the match.  Eddie and Micky put on just 8 runs short of a record partnership with 152 before Eddie was dismissed.

Rog and Micky were soon to follow.  Rags and Mike scored quickly and when Rags was dismissed it brought to the crease the devastating Meady.  He ploughed straight into his devastation by running out Mike by a good 22 yards.  He then ran out Hammad, actually in fairness I think Hammad's fitness ran himself out with one ball to go.  We finished on 233.

After Micky's tea (which worryingly he didn't eat anything of) we were back out.  Crowthorne got off to a good start too with over a 100 partnership, of which Hampshire had 29.   Rags and Mo bowled well together with Rags picking up a justified 5 and Mo bowling the best wicketless spells I have ever seen.

It went down to the last over with Crowthorne needing 6 to win.  With the last ball, needing one run to win the ball was hit to Rog who threw down the stumps and caused the tie.

It was an enjoyable game played in good spirit and in the end it was probably the right result.  Bring on the temperamental lady!
